Her works traverse passages of time, from memory of sacred practices to innovative biophilic design that evoke states of well-being.
- RHODE ISLAND SCHOOL OF DESIGN
Anastasia earned her MFA in Textiles at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2011 and BFA in Jewelry Metal Arts at the California College of the Arts in 2005. She founded her business in 2017, after fourteen years dedicated to exploring handwoven sculptures.
Her background is in jewelry metal arts. First introduced to jewelry fabrication in high school, she trained professionally as a goldsmith at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts, San Francisco. She has been an artist-in-residence at the Appalachian Center for Craft and University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She travels the globe teaching imaginative textile and jewelry workshops.
As a resident of the Ocean State, she rejuvenates in salt air, contemplates tidal shifts, and meditates in an orchard at sunset. Her artwork is reflective of her daily serenity and connection to Nature.
HER RECENT PUBLIC PROJECTS INCLUDE THE U.S. EMBASSY (MAPUTO, MOZAMBIQUE), THE ROSEWOOD HOTEL (HONG KONG, CHINA), THE GRAND HYATT (ABU DHABI, UAE), AND THE RITZ CARLTON (CALIFORNIA, USA).
My vision is to elevate the human spirit through my artwork, by heightening one’s perceptual awareness. My numinous designs are imbued with mysterious wonder and subtle magic.
Each sculpture is patiently crafted to evoke emotion and offer radiance. Inspired by the graceful serenity of Nature’s patterns, my sculptures are dimensional mandalas that reveal the interconnected harmony of all things.
My art sprouts from the visual poetry of life: subtle neutrals, glimmering metals, boisterous flowers, underwater creatures, glacial expanses, as well as nebulous gasses and birthing stars. My forms and colors are informed by the phenomena of translucency, optical effects, iridescence and transformative light.

IMPROVING THE PLANET
She supports a partnership with 1% For The Planet with her chosen donation recipient being the Ocean Cleanup. They develop technology to remove plastics from our oceans.
Anastasia Azure responsibly recycles her excess metals, as well as ends of nylon monofilament. The nylon is recycled through Berkely’s Monofilament Recycling Program to make park benches.
Anastasia Azure is seeking opportunities to create art that communicates the complexity of science. Her future ideas include large-scale suspended sculptures with kinetic movement, as well as horizontal sculptures spanning walkways, and vertical sculptures cascading in atriums.
